GEER Grant Components and Support

Four of our member districts received funding to support their digital learning goals.

There are several perks to being a GEER school:

  • Free professional development through Keep Indiana Learning (use the code GEER 2021) when prompted during registration
  • Access to Digital Coaches with targeted expertise areas
  • Keep Indiana Learning Summer Conference (virtual)
    • All GEER school teachers will be automatically registered
    • Sessions will be recorded for viewing later for those who cannot attend
  • Train the Trainer Institutes (stipends offered to participants)
    • Leadership and Culture on June 9-10 (w/Dr. Rob Wesman)
    • SEL on June 16-17 (w/Dr. Lori Desatuels)
    • Digital Learning on June 23-24 (w/Angela and Nate Ridgeway)
    • Suggested Participant Profiles


In addition to direct funding from the state of Indiana, these schools are also eligible to receive support from Region 8.  After meeting with each district to find out their needs, we determined five major areas we can support.  The table below describes the major areas and how Region 8 is supporting them.

Each district has access to Adam Drummond, parent engagement expert for one-to-one consulting.

Student Engagement in Digital Learning

Teachers from each district can become Blended Learning Educators at no cost.
