This workshop is part of a series developed by the Indiana Educational Service Centers in partnership with the IDOE to help schools develop their reading plans.

Working in teams or as individuals, participants will learn the key components of an effective reading program. This workshop will answer the following questions:

-Is your current reading program aligned with Indiana’s K-6 Reading Framework?

-Is the 90-minute block being implemented according to guidelines?

-Are the practices and materials used in your school’s reading program based on scientifically-based reading research?

-How can assessment checklist be used to begin the process of assessing a school’s or corporation’s current reading program?
